Peter wrote his first computer program as a high school student, 15 years before the IBM PC was invented.

He majored in Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College and then received a MBA from UCLA. While in high school and college, he ran in Track & Field, specializing in the half mile.

The first 20 years of his career were spent as a programmer, systems analyst and consultant, working for a software firm, a national CPA firm and a couple of partnerships. His clients spanned almost every business segment, including defense, oil & gas, manufacturing,  finance, real estate, advertising,  marketing research and even high school reunions. Peter founded National Payments, a specialty payment processor, 25 years ago and has been President ever since.

Peter has been an active athlete his entire life, including running, surfing and water and snow skiing. While his kids were growing up, he coached 20 different AYSO soccer teams and 6 Little League baseball teams. 15 years ago, he added triathlons-that is swim, bike and runs races-into his athletic calendar. He soon specialized in shorter sprint triathlons. Peter was US National Sprint Triathlon Age Group Champion in 2009.  Since then, he has represented our country many times as a member of Team USA at Multisport Age Group World Championships, where he has 3 First Place and 2 Second Place finishes.

Peter believes that exercise is the main key to a long healthspan. He also understands through personal experience that exercise and wellness programs need to allow for the chronic disease and medical conditions that can come with age or injury. Peter has been involved with MedFit since its inception and is committed to supports its mission.

Regular exercise has helped me to lead a healthy, happy and productive life, while gracefully meeting the challenges of aging. I want to help others, especially my fellow baby boomers, to share the benefits of exercise and healthy lifestyle.
